Arantxa Martinez Dugas
Arantxa Martinez Dugas is a multidisciplinary visual artist working across painting, fibers, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, and performance. Originally from Mexico and based in Montreal, her work explores themes such as the passage of time, space, perception, cultural identity, gender, and political art. She believes that as we live, we record and leave traces behind. Holding a BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University and a DEC from LaSalle College, her research has been presented at ITSLIQUID Group / HUB ART Barcelona, The Holy Art / Mriya Gallery NY, BADA Mexico, and Art Toronto, along with an art residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
