Paolo Agostini
Paul el Pulpo (Paolo Agostini) is an Italian self-taught abstract artist. Inspired by nature and introspection, his work explores freedom, connection, and the quiet rhythms of everyday life. His paintings emerge from an intuitive, physical process-working on horizontal canvases from multiple directions, he paints through an immersive practice guided by instinct. El Pulpo -his symbolic alter ego- represents curiosity, sensitivity, and adaptability, giving shape to his artistic identity: Paul el Pulpo. His work is rooted in the art of noticing: finding beauty in ordinary moments, being present, and remaining open to the wonder of life, a reminder that there is always something worth seeing when we take the time to look. Based between Barcelona and Cape Town, Paolo is a traveler and explorer, drawing inspiration from landscapes, cultures, people, and the spaces in between. His paintings have been exhibited in Barcelona, Berlin, Cape Town, and Tokyo.
